StrategEast president took part in the Lennart Meri Conference in Estonia

On September 3-5, Anatoly Motkin, president of StrategEast took part in the14th Lennart Meri Conference (LMC) in Tallinn, Estonia.

On September 18 – 19 StrategEast Georgia in collaboration with EPAM Georgia and with the support of GITA will hold the first EPAM Engineering Hackathon with the main message — Design Your Future. EPAM Engineering Hackathon is focused on implementing the ideas contributing to the technological advancement and development of the Georgian IT environment, thus improving everyday life experiences for the citizens.

Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast took part in the discussion was led by American companies and Central Asian officials on advancing more robust regional integration of digital infrastructure.

After joining the Paris Call, StrategEast will spread the values ​​of trust and security in cyberspace in the regions of Eurasia where we operate: in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.

The current status of AgriTech development was discussed at StrategEast.Live panel discussion “AgriTech and Smart Farming in Eurasia”.

One of these relatively new institutions for the countries of Eurasia are the business angels – individuals who invest their own funds in IT projects at the initial stage of their development. To what extent is this institution already developed, and what new prospects do business angels open up for the IT industry? These topics were discussed within the StrategEast.Live panel “Business Angels for Eurasian Startups”.

During last year upon the request of StrategEast the experts from the Eastern Partnership countries commented on the most critical issues of the Eastern Partnership. Today StrategEast presented this work in the report “Eastern Partnership Development”.

How to make sure that the creation of a new IT park does not lead to an increase in the gap between the rich and the poor, between urban and rural areas, but also decrease those gaps, making sure gender equality and disability inclusion? These issues were raised at the panel discussion “How to be inclusive when creating an IT park in Tajikistan” on June 23, 2021.

On June, 21 a meeting was organized by President of StrategEast Anatoly Motkin with the key players of the IT industry, members of ICT Association of Georgia and international institutions including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), United Nations in Georgia (UN), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the World Bank, Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), and Bank of Georgia (BOG).
