StrategEast consolidates international donors for Kyrgyzstan’s digitalization

Anatoly Motkin held a series of meetings with international financial institutions, development agencies, and diplomatic corps in Kyrgyzstan. The participation of partners in StrategEast’s Global Minds Initiative program in Kyrgyzstan was discussed.

At the meeting with Jongsu Yu, Country director of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and Kiyoun Kim, KOICA program coordinator talked about their efforts in GovTech and cybersecurity.

Talking with Ayten Rustamova, Director of the EBRD Regional Office in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan and Eric Livni, Regional Lead Economist for Central Asia at EBRD, the sides touched upon hard skills and delivery skills as prerequisites for successful IT industry development.

Suzuki Kanae and Ikeda Hiroyuki, representatives of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) discussed possible cooperation with Japanese tech companies on the way of IT sector development in Kyrgyzstan.

The meetings with the diplomatic corps also took place. Thus, Maeda Shigeki, Ambassador of Japan in the Kyrgyz Republic, and Raimonds Vingris, Deputy head of mission, Head of the political, press and information sector of EU Delegation in Kyrgyz Republic expressed his interest in IT HUB job creation program and IT sector development in Kyrgyzstan.
