Anatoly Motkin has briefed US Senate staff about the role of IT industry in Eurasian countries

On September 26 StrategEast founder and president Anatoly Motkin has held a briefing for US Senate Foreign Relations and Science and Technology committees staff on the role of IT industry in transforming the economy in Eurasian countries from natural resource oriented model to a knowledge driven economy. Special stress has been put on the importance of the private property protection in those countries and the measures that should be undertaken to encourage the local governments to protect the IPR.
During the briefing there were presented 2 reports – «Changing economy. Changing society» on social impact of IT sector in Eurasian and Baltic region and «Innovative Ukraine», in-depth report that has been released together with UNIT City, the leading Ukrainian innovation park, describing the IT industry of Ukraine and its role for the whole economical development of the country. Both reports include recommendations for the key policymakers of what should be done to catalyze the innovative development of Ukraine.
