StrategEast starts cooperation with Uzbek Innovation Ministry

Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast met with Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shahlo Turdikulova and her team in Tashkent to discuss the establishment of joint non-IT startup accelerators, and development of innovative economy projects in the country.

Mr Motkin shared the ways for the development of the startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan and proposed StrategEast’s assistance to successful local startups in collaboration with California based accelerator US MAC.

In addition, the parties agreed to cooperate with on implementing the “Prospera Women” program in Uzbekistan, as well as the establishment of an incubator for tech startups based on the experience of the project in Belarus.

Within his visit to Uzbekistan, Anatoly Motkin also met the startup community. He spoke at the official launch of the Think Big Boot Camp for startups in Uzbekistan. It is launched by StrategEast in cooperation with USMAC and support of USAID Future Growth Initiative program in Central Asia. The program is being implemented in partnership with Uzbekistan Venture Capital Association and IMPACT.T.
